Wedding Planning Tips - Kaleigh’s Corner

Tips from a recent bride. https://apracticalwedding.com/ - I love their advice columns and seeing non-traditional wedding inspiration! Not your usual wedding planning site, which is a good thing.

https://greenweddingshoes.com/ - Another blog that highlights unique and alternative weddings.

Hire a wedding coordinator if it is not included with your venue. If you are a very organized person and can plan the wedding yourself, at least hire a day of coordinator if it is within your budget. A wedding coordinator will make your day go by so smoothly and stress free!

Try to focus on what is most important to you and your fiancé. During wedding planning, people love to share their opinions on what your wedding should be. Just remember that it’s ok to create a day that reflects you as a couple and not everyone else’s wishes. Try to perfect your polite, “thank you for the suggestion” because you’ll be getting a lot of them!

I highly suggest keeping all of your wedding planning within one spreadsheet. I used Google Sheets, because you can access it anywhere. You can use different tabs for your guest list (with addresses and RSVP responses), costs, vendor list, And a checklist. I used ours everyday while planning!

Wedding planning can be stressful. Make sure to spend time to take care of yourself and your relationship. Doing things that help you relax will help decrease your stress levels. My bachelorette party was at a spa the week before our wedding and it was the best decision! It set the tone for the rest of the week leading up to our wedding to be relaxing and (relatively) stress free.
